Value adds and their use in the rate plan
Booking.com’s ‘Value adds’ feature can help you increase sales and reach more guests by offering attractive benefits.
You can set the Value adds in the section Rates and Availability – Value adds. Then you can add them to the settings of a specific rate plan in the section Rates and Availability – Rate plans.
You can add up to five value adds to each rate plan.
Once set up, the value adds will be displayed to Booking.com customers.
Please note that the value adds are predefined by Booking.com, and it is currently not possible to set up a custom value adds.
Setting up new Value adds
Go to the “Rates and Availability” – “Value adds” section:
You will then see the new Benefits editor:
Select the required value adds and then enter a name for the new Value add “package”, which is for your internal use only.
Once your value adds are created, simply attach them to new or existing rate plans to make it visible to travellers. Each rate plan can have up to five value adds.
In the Rates and Availability – Rate Plans section the Value Add will be displayed as follows:
How can “Value Adds” be used, and how are they displayed to clients?
Value adds can be used to highlight additional features or services included in the accommodation. For example:
You can use a value adds to offer accommodation with spa access and include a higher price in the Booking.com rate plan to reflect this access.
Value adds can also inform guests that parking is included or that stay with a dog is allowed, etc.
How guests see this information on Booking.com:
When benefits are set up, they are displayed prominently in the property listing, providing clear and attractive details to potential guests about what is included in their booking.

Unfortunately, Booking.com does not provide information on which value add is included in a reservation.
The only way to determine if a booking includes a value add (such as spa access) is to create a rate plan in Previo with a name that matches the one set up on Booking.com. This rate plan is then linked to the corresponding plan from Previo.
By using the rate plan name, you can easily identify in the reservation details within the room account in Previo which value add is included.
