Availability Window

With this restriction, which you set in the Availability tab of each Airbnb listing, you can specify how far in advance guests can book. You can make your calendar available 3, 6, 9, 12, or 24 months in advance. This restriction is especially useful if you don’t regularly extend your Previo price list to ensure that prices and availability are set at least 365 days in advance.

How to set the availability window

To set the availability window, go to the Calendar section, click on one of your listings, and open the Settings panel on the right. Here, you’ll see the Availability tab where you can adjust this setting. PrtScr.

Note: If you wish to set this restriction, please contact us at support@previo.cz. Airbnb does not allow some extranet edits when the connection is active, so you may need to temporarily disconnect the link.

What the availability window can be used for

AirBnB regularly checks the availability of your calendar on AirBnB.
For example, if you set your availability window to 3 months, guests will only be able to book within those next 3 months. AirBnb will not check availability after these 3 months.

The most common problem related to availability – Hiding the offer by AirBnb

Because Airbnb uses a “Base Offer Price,” guests may request dates for which there is no price list in Previo. If the availability window is not set, Airbnb will check availability with the channel manager, which will mark the date as unavailable if no price is set.

This mismatch between Airbnb’s calendar and Previo is then marked as an error by Airbnb, which may result in the temporary hiding of the listing on Airbnb.

If the listing is hidden, Airbnb will notify you by email. You will then need to update the price list in Previo or set the availability window on Airbnb.

After several successful availability checks, Airbnb typically puts the listing back on sale automatically.
